Presentation Requests and Outreach
We provide outreach and education on child and youth rights to all sorts of different groups. We've presented to schools, professional groups, public services and community organizations. We also partner with researchers, experts, foundations, and institutions to advance the rights and interests of children and youth.
New Brunswick African Association – You Belong
As a learning and a sharing opportunity, 10 youths from the New Brunswick African Association participated in a workshop designed by Dr. Lori Vitale Cox to speak about Anti-Black Racism and ultimately pull together a report entitled You Belong.
Organized by the New Brunswick Child and Youth Advocate’s Office in partnership with the John Howard Society of Fredericton Inc. and held on July 6th, 2022, the workshop brought together a group of youths between 9- and 21-years old stemming from Tanzania, Central African Republic, South Africa, Congo, Kenya, Belgium, and Canada.
On November 22, 2022, the participants presented the report You Belong to Kelly Lamrock, Child, Youth and Senior’s Advocate at the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick.
